Smiling Eyes Poem by Mark Parry

Smiling Eyes

Your eyes are the magnets of your face.
They draw my gaze and hold it there.
Hair, nose, mouth disappear
Into the blurred background,
Like unfocussed leaves
In a photograph of a flower.
Brown, smiling petals
Radiate warmth and love
In a garden setting of your soul.
