Smoking Memories Poem by Aimee Nell

Smoking Memories

Another day.
Another way.
Another path to take.
-
You caught fire,
And burned me one more time.
Just like all the times before
-
And now you turn to smoke.
Another whisp
I try so desperately to cling to.
-
As I drown in this river of smoke;
All the memories I cannot forget.
Searching for something to hold onto.
-
Another failed day.
Another failed way.
One less path to take.
