Silent Night Poem by Aimee Nell

Silent Night

Rating: 5.0

I lie awake at night,
The silence pressing down on me.
I feel the tears run down my face,
As I become lost,
tracing the memories of you.
I often wondered how I lived without you before I knew you,
And how I could live without you.
Now you're gone,
And I know what it's like.
Sometimes I wonder how my heart goes on without you,
Or why it didn't burst open with misery and sadness when you were gone.
And now I feel alone,
Wishing you were here,
Wondering if I'll ever love and trust someone as much as I did you.
