Smothering Love Poem by Unspoken Words

Smothering Love

Your smothering me with your love
A love that I can no longer take
I want to scream and break free
But you won't let me do either of those things

Your pushing me away
Instead of pulling me in
Your hugging me so tight
That I'm gasping
You're always happy smiles
Are turning mine into frowns
You say your loving me
But your killing me now

So what's a girl to do
With all this love
Might as well grab a pillow
And blow out my lungs

For with your love
You are smothering me
