Snow Poem by Charl JF Cilliers

Snow

Snow fell suddenly.
Lay thick upon the ground.
Covered shape and form
and muffled sound.

From the tree’s sprained wrist
a kingfisher flew
and brushed the silent white sky
with sonorous blue.
