Snow Days Poem by Marilyn Lott

Snow Days

Rating: 5.0

It was one of those snowy days
The children went out to see
Oh how those kids loved snow
It thickly coated the clothesline and trees

It was simply a winter’s wonderland
A white out kind of day
Oh yes the children were happy
And wished that it would stay

They were out from morning till night
Inside only to eat and get warm
Out again they’d go
Enjoying natures perfect snow storm

The creek was waxed over
The trees were hidden in ice
But a smell came wafting from the house
Mom’s making cookies with spice

Oh don’t you enjoy the frosty winter?
Something children love so much
Yes, every so often
The world gets a white icy touch!
