So caring and helpful and loving and kind
Her very equal would be so hard to find
To help those in need of help she goes out of her way
The woman who does her good deeds every day
She never does yearn for material success or renown
The unsung heroine in her side of the town
She never had children or to any man is not a wife
To care for the poor is her hobby in life
In her mid to late forties gray in her brown hair
And lovely to behold one of beauty rare
Full of good intentions and free of conceit
As good a person as one could wish to meet
Old Bess in her nineties who lives on her own
Says she is the best person she has ever known
She does her shopping and washing for her and never asks for pay
Just one of the poor people she does help every day.
