for once it happened
maybe im going crazy
maybe im just being silly
but for once
im happy again
im me again
i smile and people smile back
i giggle and someone smiles back
i feel so free
so light
so me
no worries
no more tears
he washed away those fears
like the old me is gone
only pages remain
scattered to the corners of my world
im drawing again
im writing again
im smiling again
im me again
im free again
no more am i trapped
no more am i stuck
holding onto something that was never true
i dont have to ever be blue
since ive found you
im healing
slowly im healing
and im feeling like my old self again
like the me before the problems
like the me before the aches
and pains
and hurt
the real me
the me that i wish to be
i feel so free
like a bird with no tethers
with wings made of feathers
i feel like i can fly
to the edges of the sky
and still come near
you'll still be here
to laugh at me
and tell me im silly
and hold me close
and hold me tight
i have no need to fight
because i have everything i need
right here
so near
so dear
so light.
