So Hard To Say Poem by Asma Khan

So Hard To Say

I dreamt of you on a starless sky
where once we counted diamonds way high
you wore the sun for me in the dark nights
and smiled with twinkling stars in my eyes
full of hope and dazzling desires
from the fate that parted us today

I dreamt of you on a sunless day
where once we stole the shades
of spring and sat underneath the way
with coolness in each other's eyes
to soothe the upcoming storms
that parted us today

I dreamt of you on a sleepless dream
where once we kindled poems of
an unending, untold love story
nor lived before us
never was said till the day
we parted today

I dreamt of you on the blink
of the dying candle
where once you held me close to you
to hear your beat and took my face
in your hands and whispered,
'This is heart! '
