So Let The Parade Go On And On Poem by ART PAUL SCHLOSSER

So Let The Parade Go On And On

Letting go and reaching forward
Is hard when you had what you wanted to last
Cleaning up after the party is a chore
Especially when it was such a blast

No one wants the fun to end
When it's over you want it to start again
No one wants to say good bye to a dying friend
That's when the crying will begin

So let the parade go on and on
Let the night never turn into dawn
Let the weeds grow on the lawn
Don't get tired and let's not yawn
Let's get fat and dump our diet
What good is Rock N Roll without a riot
The Government is killing all our fun
Who needs education let's be dumb

Hey this is a punk song not a lecture
We're all dying there really ain't a cure
But as the fire burns up the world
Let's be lovers not just Heroes

Choose the better things in life
Bring up children to love not fight
Dance, bike, paint and sing
Be angels not warmongers and fly with wings
