So Long Poem by Amanda Larsen

So Long

</>So long, dear sorrow
For now, I'm free
Like spring time after melting snow
I know the cold is coming back
But now the sun i see

I fear the pain I know will come
I fear it like one might fear dark
But knows that after night comes dawn,
to make the fear seem small

So long, dear sorrow
I'll know when you're here
I promise not to fight
But neither hold you near...

I bleed sweet hurt
It's my veins
It's my scars
I can see how the smile on my face
loves the way pain will kiss me goodnight
And I'll dream of a life
I forgot

But for now
So long, dear sorrow
I will smile and forget
I will love and regret
Never good enough for hate
I will sing a quiet song
And I'll miss you, so long...
