So Many Words Poem by Renaldo Singh

So Many Words

Words, so many words

Surround me at every corner.

Detailed in books, so many books,

That describes the richness of a scarlet sunset

Or explain the culture of secluded peoples.

Words, so many words

Tell tales of valiant army men

Fighting battles amidst blood and terror

Or stories of romance,

tender, sweet escapades of love,

the softness of a kiss, warmth of embrace.

Words that depict our history

Pieced together to create stories

Of wonder, gladness, pain and mystery

All matters of the human heart

are found in these books of words.

Words, so many words.
