Soapbox # 2 Poem by Daniel Batson

Soapbox # 2

Here we are again
to voice the problems
ending it all
with the edge of one Knife.

Please live Life happily
don't make it boring,
it may end in nothing,
but it is worth the soaring.

Make Life good
for all, including yourself.
Make that achievement
Live forever on a shelf

And in the Hearts and Minds
of all those you touched.
Thank You.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I wrote this poem based off of a conversation that I had with my friend who recently tried to commit suicide. We talked about the topic of 'afterlife' and how much worth our lives have after death. I named 'Soapbox # 2' for lack of a better name.
