Sob Story Of A Boy Poem by Jacob Ribald

Sob Story Of A Boy

The days of my past shower over my present,
Leaving me here to freeze and resent,
Everything we've ever been through,
Any memory involving you,
Every touch,
Every thought,
Every kiss,
Every shot,
In the heart that I endured,
Every risk I took just to assure,
That what we had would never end,
You were my lover, my girl, and my best friend.

After being violently torn apart,
I waited for that one spark,
to jump start the dead part of my heart,
To miraculously resurrect the part of me which appeared to be dead...
Silence is all that followed,
No beat,
No smile,
No friends for awhile,
Just me,
Lost on this brutal road,
Searching for anywhere to go,
For anyone to tell me that they cared enough to listen,
To the sob story of a boy,
Longing for anybody to enjoy,
His presence,
His laughter,
And his love.
