Society Poem by abi Whitaker

Society

We scream to be heard
but it's apparant they're deaf
so we stand here jesturing
like a puppet on a string
no one even understands a thing
i say
because we could wait forever
for bad to become good
we could wait foreverto be heard, listened too, understood
so we stand here, breathless
looking down on a mess
that they created for you all
society has closed the door on every open mind
it's captured all it's innocence
and lost it's reason to be kind.
