Soft As Rose Petals - Poem by Bill Simmons

Soft as rose petals
Is what he says to me
He thinks I'm beautiful
All I see is me

Soft as rose petals
Is what he says to me
He doesn't see my frails at all
I let him believe

He would never break my heart
Or cause one single tear
He helps me to see myself
For what I haven't seen in years

And I know that I
From him would never hide
For the more I know of him
The more I understand inside

He helps me to see
And I can through his words
Soft as rose petals
In a way I haven't heard

He thinks that I am beautiful
Through his eyes as he see's
He thinks I'm soft as roses
And I let him believe

And through his eyes
And in his words as he speaks to me
He thinks I'm really something
But all I see is me
