Softer Than Lace Poem by Payyton Egerstaffer

Softer Than Lace

As the words on her mouth formed
The truth came out
Of that she was warned

You can’t loose what you never had
What was the use?
She wished she could hide these sores

The sting was still on her face
She closed her eyes hoping for peace
Hoping for it to surround her softer than lace.
