Soilders Letter Home

Remember me- A soilders letter home

I want my girl to remember me
Because shes daddy little girl
And if i never come home, my sweet
That she knows that shes my world

I have had to fight for our country
In battle and in vain
And every time i close my eyes

I forget about all my pain

I want my girl to remember
That daddy was the best
And when she grows up older
That i have every right to rest

I never wanted to leave you
But my life was set out for me
God chose my path and fortune
If only that you could see

I want my girl to remember
That when shes feeling down
To look at a picture of me
And ill always be around

If i die in battle my sweet
Just look up at the sky
Remember daddy always loves you
When your looking at heaven high
