Sojourner's Breath
by Bonifacio Alba
No one is immortal, we fade like the dawn,
Our steps on this earth soon to be gone.
We are all sojourners, drifting with time,
Through valleys and hills, in rhythm and rhyme.
All passing through, like clouds in the sky,
A whisper, a moment, then bidding goodbye.
Remember, our days are numbered and brief,
A treasure more precious than gold or relief.
So treasure each moment, hold it with care,
Once lost, it is gone, no matter the prayer.
Be thankful each morning, with gratitude deep,
For life is a blessing we borrow, not keep.
