Soldiers Poem by Justin Gildow

Soldiers

They hit the ground
running
They come gunning
They travel fast on
foot
They unsheathe their
knives

Many soldiers
Good and bad
Take their glory
seriously
Take their missions
seriously

Many weapons are waiting
to be found
Either here
Over there
Somewhere
Anywhere
Everywhere
It's almost like Contra
