I have been hurt
I have been pained
I have been ridiculed
And I haven't remain the same
Each time I was put down
I looked up for somebody
To hold my hand and pull me up
Make me stand next to him
For it was him who had held my hand
And brought me into this world of his
For it was he on whose love I had left my safe shores
And it is he who's thrown me to waves and forbidden me to fight back
It is he who expects me to drown when I can swim to shore
