Somebody Has To Poem by Shel Silverstein

Somebody Has To

Rating: 3.0

Somebody has to go polish the stars,
They're looking a little bit dull.
Somebody has to go polish the stars,
For the eagles and starlings and gulls
Have all been complaining they're tarnished and worn,
They say they want new ones we cannot afford.
So please get your rags
And your polishing jars,
Somebody has to go polish the stars.

the narrative is from a layman's eye for whom the stars look dull but in reality it's a dig at the atmospheric change, pollution, rendering the sky hazy...and furthermore a hint at the loss of purity and brightness, real charm of the world.

So I’m gonna have to buy things you cannot sit on the shelf all day it may get dirty dry or brittle and then you couldn’t sell to anyone that’s looking to buy something good for that day if you want to purchase a great gift you have to take your time and look not only look but find something that you would like to buy for yourself and know the other person would like it as well
