Somebody's Child Poem by GK Talabi

Somebody's Child

Rating: 5.0

This is somebody's child
This is somebody's son
This is somebody's brother
This is somebody's nephew
This is somebody's cousin
This is somebody's uncle
This is somebody's best friend

Lying here stark naked
Naked in a shallow grave
With hands tied
And throat slit
Slit from ear to ear
Maggots feasting hungrily
Eating decaying flesh
The smell of death is in the air.

This is somebody's child
That needs justice
This is somebody's child
That needs a proper burial
This is somebody's child
That needs a proper grave
This is somebody's child
That needs an identity
This is somebody's child
That needs to Rest in Peace

This is somebody's child
This is somebody's child
This is somebody's child

Rest In Peace
