Someday Soon Poem by David Corman

Someday Soon

Of shattered, once-shimmering dreams I speak.
Her heart spread, breath intact. She beckoned and took.
I, unhinged, am simplicity's not.
Quickly realized hatreds brought to me more anger.

This brooding rage.
This intensifying malice shakes my body.
It covers my compassion.

A heightened intention builds from me.
I feel nothing but the desire to scream.
