SOMETHING I LOOK AT-346
BY-SMRUTI RANJAN MOHANTY
You made me realise
I can be someone's dream,
someone's love and passion.
You let me feel
I am not yet wasted
still, a lot of life left in me
You let me find someone
who could see worth in a worthless being, an oasis in a desert, a ray of light behind the bank of clouds.
You made me see someone moving with me as my shadow on the lonely corridor of life, someone with whom I could share my cheer and tear,
predicaments and contradictions
Probably it was a dream.
After I got up, saw me there where I was long before groping in darkness in a lonely corner.
The beautiful spring with its fancy attire had left the stage long before and I was face to face with the hot summer
I was made to understand
where I am and how I should be in a world that was not mine, a world where not spirit but matter reigns supreme
You are right
what is the utility of a relationship that does not solve any purpose?
Of what use that face, those eyes and ears which only interacts, see and hear from a distance
What is the value of bonding, that longing which only exists at a level not understood by many
