Something I Look At-348

SOMETHING I LOOK AT-348
BY-SMRUTI RANJAN MOHANTY

My love!
Don't you know
how much I love you,
how horrible I feel
when you go out of sight,
how miserable I become
when you do not respond to me, respond to what I say, my feelings and emotions studded with the petals of love.

I know
I am of no use
just an outdated antique having no grace and elegance.
Neither can make you smile nor wipe your tears, but I always try to be with you in your moments of grace and disgrace, agony and ecstasy without venturing into the silent corridors of your life

My love!
love is love
it does not know where I am
how I am, never sees the wide gulf of difference between you and me, it tells me one thing, one thing only I am in love,
will be in love till I die

I may be a nobody,
but someone who loves you from the chore of his heart,
in whose arteries and veins you flow as a beautiful feeling,
a feeling without which his life carries no meaning

My love!
don't let me die
when I am still alive.
I do not ask for anything big,
just see me, feel my love, give me a few seconds to reciprocate the voice of my heart, the lyrics of my soul
Forgive me! if I am asking for too much.
I am half of you, my love
you are the whole of me
without whom I do not exist.
Of course, I have a life
but I hardly live
