SOMETHING I LOOK AT-349
BY-SMRUTI RANJAN MOHANTY
Know not
where I am?
But I know where you are,
deep inside my heart where resides none except my love
Know not
how to say
life and love are not the same?
How can one turn away from something which has been with him in all weather
rain, summer and winter.
How can one forget the beats of his heart, his dreams and fancies, the lyrics of his life
Caught in between the two
one languishes in a noman's land, dying every moment that comes his way without knowing what lies next.
One who endures knows where it pinches, how hard it punches.
Love-making is not love,
relationship is not bonding,
the former is for a period of time, but the latter exists beyond it.
Both may or may not coexist.
Depends how you are where you are.
Love is between two souls,
lovemaking is in the physical dimension, between two individuals craving for each other.
Priorities and longing keep on changing so also love-making and relationships.
They are as transitory and as fleeting as ebb and tide.
But love is a perennial stream which never dries
Tell me
what do you want?
Do you want someone to be with you, whose heart will be somewhere else, or someone in whose heart you are and where you will be
till there is space and time?
