Something I Look At-350

SOMETHING I LOOK AT-350
SMRUTI RANJAN MOHANTY

Know not
why I want to see you smiling,
see you in the best of your spirit,
at the zenith of glory
where do you deserve to be?

Know not
why do I feel sad and melancholic when I fail to see you behind the clouds when you do not let me know where you are, how you are?

I know love is selfless
I do know my love is beyond body and mind.
Then why this craving,
why this endless desire to see you shining, to see you happy?
If it is a selfish interest
Know not, where does my love stand?

Your absence kills me
You know not what I endure?
I die every moment only to
reincarnate to die again and again until I sense you,
sense your presence

What can I give you
except a few empty words,
maybe a few unintended wounds and scars?
Take my years
Keep smiling
Be there like a shining star
before I leave.
Can not bid farewell to my love before I mingle in the dust.
