A TRIBUTE TO
COLONEL RABINDRA KUMAR BEHERA

Courage defined his noble quest,

Overcoming hurdles, he gave his best.

Lit with wisdom, his journey was bright.

Optimism turned his dark into light.

Nurtured by struggle, yet soared so high,

Empathy shone in his healing eye.

Legacy of kindness will never die.

Raised in Alana, with dreams so vast,

A brilliant student, learning steadfast.

Battled all odds, his will stood tall,

In service and care, he answered the call.

Nation's uniform he wore with pride,

Devotion and duty walked by his side.

Remarkable doctor, a soldier so true,

A heart so pure, the world still rues.

Keeping his promises, he healed the weak.

Unfazed by struggles, humble and meek.

Medical wisdom, a gift he spread,

A man of honour, where angels tread.

Remembered forever, his deeds shine bright.

Benevolence marked his soul's delight,

Even in death, he chose to give sight.

Honoured farewell with a soldier's grace,

Eternal peace in a heavenly place.

Rest now, dear Colonel, your spirit stays,

A guiding light for your daughters' days.

His funeral rites were performed at Puri Swargadwar with full military honours. Born into poverty, he never let hardships hinder his academic excellence. From an early age, he helped his father meet his educational expenses, showcasing resilience and determination.

Dr. Behera was a versatile genius, a compassionate doctor, and a wonderful human being. Known for his simplicity and kind-hearted nature, his untimely demise left many in tears. May his soul rest in peace and continue to inspire his daughters to fulfil his unfinished dreams.
