'Somewhere' Poem by Nina Ali

'Somewhere'

Rating: 5.0

Somewhere inside my soul,
There lies my faith in the world.
I try to believe in the empty,
But there’s nothing to see.
I try to live intellectually,
But in it there’s no logic to me.
I wish to see the world for what it is,
But I mistake it's beauty for the ugliness with in.
I feel like my sight has lost its way,
While looking for something To believe is true..

Nina, you have expressed the feeling that so many of us have when we look at life and death. You do it so naturally and directly, this is a lovely piece of work. Keep on being true to your feelings.

This is beautiful. Deep, even if u don't think so. You are describing the life of all humanity today, with such smoothness. I like your style, a lot, I think you already know that, I've told you often what a wonderful poet, and person you are, after every time I read something to you, I believe in you more. I do only regret that most of your wonderful work have been for my eyes only, you should let otheres appreciate that talent. Love you xxx Mary
