A Soul’s Prayer

Can I not hide from the darkness?
Only God can provide my escape.
For he the prince of darkness
Can not hurt me when in God’s grace.
And only God will protect me,
From the devil’s forsaken embrace.
For I believe in what is pure,
That in God’s truth lays the cure.
