Somewhere In Africa Poem by Nkwain Stephen

Somewhere In Africa

Will no one tell him
To spare me and my mother's Children?
How have we offended him
To be killed like flies?
Will you remain silent
And watch him silence us all?
With teary eyes I write down
These lines as they might be my Last words:
I know not when I will bleed
Like some of my mother's children Did and are no more
But such time is not far!
Begging him to hear our voice
Is our only crime.
Will no one tell him to spare and my Mother's children?
Shall you watch me and my Unarmed brothers bleed to death
Just because we are 'an Insignificant minority'?
Gentle musers,
If these be my last words,
Know that the he that was to Protect me, killed me
