I keep dying
Out of nowhere
For this, right here
For today
For the day after
For the weight of letting go
For whatever today has thrown at me
Dying
as if leaving
were something I could learn
Somewhere
Maybe this was all life meant to be:
A way of living
long enough
to learn what death means
To die
just to say
I once breathed
Somewhere far away
So far
I no longer remember it
Maybe it was me all along
A ghost
The one
who held a place in his heart
Called Neverland
Only a feeling remains
Something they used to call life,
Living beneath a sky
with a ground
that had a smell
Better to lose the tongue
than to speak of hope
There isn't even anywhere left to go
Maybe this is just
a way of saying goodbye
To what life was
To its smells
To everything
that existed
beyond them
