Somewhere Sometime Poem by Nyx C Styx

Somewhere Sometime

somewhere past
these arching skies
these sorrow seas composed
of misery tears
these oceans that wage
war with the thinking mind
with the sound of the crashing wave
out beyond the words that have been expressed
and letters yet to be
and the ink that has yet to spill
and the blood that has yet to flow
and the eyes yet to meet
and bind through sight
one another's soul
far beyond the reach of fingertips
and of lifetimes condensed
and the souls that are cold
before the winter strikes
those people whose hands are always
brisk
There is a place where I hide
in the mist confused for breath
in the cloud that still reflects
the sun already set
Where true kings are those
who drown their days
in daydreams
where we may walk barefoot
upon the grass
without fear of the stone beneath
I am the grasshopper unseen
and am the firefly unlit
the larvae killed before the chrysalis
I am the green weed in the grass
and the resting water rotting
and the fish unknowingly trapped within
who makes a heaven of his solitude
of his newly found kingdom waters
wondering why none has yet to find
Gods grace in the murky blue
I am the love you will never have
because I love someone else
and I cannot have that someone else
because I could not come to love
you who loved me
I am found before the brightest lights
where the darkest of shadows maybe cast
my heart rests beneath my feet
this is why none have been able
to find it yet
none has bothered to stoop
to look
for the glass shard of heaven
embedded between my toes
I have loved
everything I have stepped on
and everyone I have stepped on
I envy the the flora of the sea
I wish to be as they are
able to dance through
waves of life and time
with unmoved roots anchoring
them to the sea bed
