Though days pass devoured by time
I ponder if he'll call to mind
his secret yearning, once caged now free
in slumber sprang forth subconsciously
To hear my name uttered, echoed in hush
amongst a recital to which Eros would blush
flowing from his rufescent lips
like wine entreating me to sip
Oh if only astir this request be
To quench thy thirst I shall become sea
and stir Neptune from fathoms deep
to smote burning flame in passions keep
As I lay upon floor night after night
I am audience to secrets unspoken in sleight
of all the fleshly carnal scheme in his head
that he bequeath to me if I lay in his bed
Alas, only in dreams you make this known
amongst broad breaths and fevered groans
yay I know what harm heart brings
to dwell on such splendor things
I shall not utter that bespoken to me
yet leave veiled privy to memory
tis not for me to bring to light
and cause him such unwelcome plight
Tis for him to make evident
if to be, or never meant
this exchange between two men
amorousness between close friends.
