Song In A Flute Poem by shokat habib

Song In A Flute

A bud of being tattered dirty all alone
in an alley sits eating mudied crumbs.
red strange eyes tired see but see not.
dried boney hands sit still, weary holding.
brain thoughtless knows not what to do
searches the naked soil in the dark alley.
shames the deeds of why and what is life.
hungry hand bleeds covers the crumb.
feet swollen in sores of pain and pus.
poverty eats at the bones with vengence.
skin in furrows dried scream and fall.
dirt in the hair life less dried solid stands
darkness soils the soul of this being bud
that died before it blossomed.
crotched in silence bent in prayer.
deeds of this world beseeching.
devastated all is dry and void.
silence stunned naked stands
stubborn distant glimmer questioned
shrouded in thirsty nothingness
death in the wind blows hungrilly.
the tearless eye stares in the void.
a sad silent song plays the flute
in pain a silent tear escapes unknown
a silent whisper shatters the dark
'mama, food, mama please'
all stood still, no one heard
the bud being shivered and ate dirt
in a foetus of remembered love lay
alas does this have to come to pass
