Song Of Free-Doom Poem by Oluwafemi Lawrence Amusan

Song Of Free-Doom

Are we not the ones who
Set the fire, blazing our walls, raising
Down our towers and fortresses?

We hoped and hopped, yet robbed.
We fought with wrath, yet flawed.
Yester years dusky clouds are now
Patters of sobs, beating made and raw.

We are the slaves in our own land,
Sold into the hands of our brothers,
We cried in vains, we long to be free.

But wait, how are we to remove the
Shackles, with which we are bundled?
Beware, man is good until power comes.
