Sonnet #1 - Constitution Poem by Dhaval Rathod

Sonnet #1 - Constitution

A mighty tapestry of a design,
and yet has horrible holes to exploit.
Originally purposed with intents benign,
then infected with malice of dacoit.
Holding the force to draw global envy,
but fractured by a few freaks from within.
Wealth of bills and legislative savvy,
squandered pettily by our own kith and kin.

From the horizon, a ray of reform peeks,
bringing the warmth of sincere promises.
A rain of revolution can wash the reeks
that has plagued our fundamental premises.
The solid strength of people's houses of hopes
will mold our great nation's miraculous scopes.
