Sonnet 409 Poem by Hyde

Sonnet 409

Rating: 5.0

If I were a crayon, then for you I’d draw,
A glowing sun amid a pool of tears,
And shine it will against all straining laws,
There to defeat and lick your countless fears.
If I were rain, then upon you I’d fall,
Sink into your flesh and hydrate your soul,
Slide down your face and cease your daily pall,
And collect in your heart, as in a bowl.
But I am a girl, here to hold your hand,
And smile when I see your face aglow,
A burden less spirit roaming the land,
Yet never disrupting a river’s flow.
I’m here for you, and that’s all that matters,
So allow my love, as we climb life’s ladder.
