Sonnet 5 Poem by Alex Fischer

Sonnet 5

I feel a grace upon my sell-sword soul
I pray to God he commends my path
Lifting my head I pay to him the toll
Since I have followed him he holds his wrath
I see a place for my sore weary life
I pray to God that he will set me straight
I don't know why my life was filled with strife
Yet now I see that God lead me to gate
I hear a cry emit from the darkness
It's shrill is filled with fear and 'ternal pain
Where is God when I need him in the dankness?
I cannot see thy glory in this reign
God comes to me and takes me from my sin
I move into a world that's filled with him
