Sonnet: A World Of Disobedience Poem by Dr John Celes

Sonnet: A World Of Disobedience

If people do not listen to advice,
And words of yours go down the drain awaste,
'Tis sad they want to live in utter vice,
Not learning to become in heart, mind, chaste.

The world has turned to be disobedient;
Wise words of elderly are seldom heard;
To walk in roads one wants, each one is bent;
Who cares to read and live as per the Word?

God teaches all His lessons in His time;
He cannot bear to see the righteous sin;
He wants all mankind to make lives sublime;
Against the serpent, He wants men to win!

So, He unleashes Nature's furies more,
But heals the mind and heart and body's sore!
