Sonnet: All-Knowing God Poem by Dr John Celes

Sonnet: All-Knowing God

Because the world I see has gone to dogs,
Can I then dance to tunes accordingly?
Because I see the wells dry with toads, frogs,
Should I then also live most selfishly?

Depressing are the things I experience;
I wonder what is happening to the world!
Most youngsters jump in life over the fence;
New generations seek more glittering gold!

But I can't change my good old ways at all;
May righteousness improve upon the earth!
Let evil-doers stay famous and tall;
For purpose great, God gave me human birth.

The Master of the universe is wise;
He knows how long He should allow such vice!
