We raised our children better than we were!
We loved them, gave them life, we couldn't afford'
They enjoyed luxury and better care;
We reared them as per tradition and Word.
Our children love us but have turned selfish;
We blame the modern world and temptations;
‘Our children must be good and smart' - our wish!
But they have fewer friends and relations!
Yet, demons trouble homes and workplaces;
Poor parents pray but children disobey;
They wear a mask and make such weird faces;
Our Savior Christ must keep devils at bay.
Take care of our dear children Lord, we pray!
Their toil must realize dreams and D-day!
Dedicated to St. Michael's Cathedral Parish, CBE and children globally
