Sonnet: Heaven Is Near Poem by Dr John Celes

Sonnet: Heaven Is Near

They will not hear what I have got to say;
I can't say much as I am not perfect;
Yet, all encounter surely Judgment Day;
The sinful state of soul, you can't neglect.

The Tempter tries its best to change our fate;
The devils want mankind to go to hell;
But man is headed to the Narrow Gate;
God's readied heaven though first parents fell.

God's love had sent Christ Jesus to save man;
God's kingdom will be soon revealed to all;
Abandon sinfulness of soul, we can;
Let human ears then hear the Maker's call!

Repent for heaven's kingdom is at hand;
The righteous ones will reach the Promised Land.
