Sonnet: Jealousy Poem by Dr John Celes

Sonnet: Jealousy

When trials, tribulations come in life,
Our living harmony is off the mark;
When temptations take us amidst much strife,
The brightness may get overwhelmed by dark!

When thick friends seem worse than our real foes,
Our senses fail to comprehend the scene;
But this is how on earth sometimes life goes,
When nothing ever has gone wrong with gene!

When inmates of our home impede progress,
The anguish faced by mind and heart are much;
Such things can put our lives in great darkness,
Until the light of God gives Midas touch!

The cause is jealousy that seizes some;
But God deals with offenders unwelcome.
