Sonnet Of Lies - Poem by Angel Croshier
Lies are easier to spew around
We know the truth will always come out
Lies can cause pain that drives us to the ground
But still lies will always be told about
Someone always gets hurt no matter what
Sometimes it’s a friend who’s deceived your trust
The betrayal runs deep like a spending cut
Can you ever get over the mistrust?
You still care even though she lied to you
She says she’ll stop but it’s another lie
You may forgive her, you know you want to
She spreads more lies, making you want to cry
The truth should be solid, genuine, and real
But people swell up with lies just to feel.
