Sonnet Of The Lord Poem by Jasmine Munns

Sonnet Of The Lord

He put his hand on my lily white brow
And sent power rushing through my body
Soon the pain was abolished from my life
I lifted myself, and found somebody
Looking at me with nothing in his eyes
He was my saviour, so was he not proud
That he had shown me kindness in a world
So sinful, where the demons cry aloud?
He left me with a simple statement that
Lifter my heart more than the words of a book
He said 'My work is done so now I leave
Farewell for now, ' and he turned to look
At something that I could not see clearly
Maybe he was slightly mad, I'm not sure
But dare I question the might of Jesus?
The one who cares for us so, and leads us.
