Sonnet: On Disobedience Poem by Dr John Celes

Sonnet: On Disobedience

The world excels in disobedience
In every walk of life, age, sex, moment;
Advice unheeded goes with persistence,
And ends in sustained heavy argument!

This trait / disease is spreading very fast,
Not sparing any nation in the world;
Obeisance stays a virtue of the past,
Belittled by the modern youth and old!

No wisdom of the elders is welcome;
All want to have the way one likes to tread;
Gone are the peace and hierarchy at home;
Distrust abounds in every sphere and road!

The Son of God showed what is obeisance;
The Word of God to most remains nuisance!
