Sonnet: On Worrying Poem by Dr John Celes

Sonnet: On Worrying

If you worry about the many things
That trouble you each day and week of life,
Distracted mind of yours, more worry brings;
Solutions do not come in time to strife.

Each day's worries are enough for the day;
The morrow will bring worries of its own;
You cannot always keep troubles at bay;
Problems do come even if you're alone.

Too many things, you do not need at all;
You need a few or rather only one;
You need a faith that's strong and hear God's call;
The soul needs just the Word of God and Son.

At Martha's home, when Mary heeded Christ,
Then Jesus stressed, she was doing the best.
