Sonnet: Rejoice On Your Birthday Poem by Dr John Celes

Another step in time, you climb today
In earthly life’s domain successfully;
Our loving God has showered grace His way;
You walk the road to heaven splendidly.

Our human strength may fail so many times;
Our plans didn’t go the way we wanted them;
But God had stayed with us in many climes;
He’ll crown His righteous souls with diadem.

Our old age needn’t upset our mind and heart;
God sets our span before we’re even born;
The Maker guides us by celestial art;
His sun will rise by perfection each morn.

Nothing too great is done by man as such!
Each birthday tells us that God loves us much.
